This policy explains how Straforma collects, uses, stores and shares personal information when you visit our website, contact us, subscribe to our updates or work with us. We have written it in plain English. If anything is unclear, ask us.

In this policy, "Straforma", "we", "us" and "our" means Robine Stephenson trading as Straforma, ABN 71 293 897 801.

We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

We only collect what we need. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:

  • Contact details such as your name, email address, phone number, organisation and role.
  • What you tell us in a form, email, enquiry, survey or conversation, such as the reason you are getting in touch, details of a speaking or podcast request, or your responses to pre-work and workshop activities.
  • Subscription preferences, such as whether you have signed up to receive our updates.
  • Website usage information, such as pages visited, time on site, device and browser type, approximate location (city or region) and how you arrived at our site. We collect this through Google Analytics using cookies.

We do not ask for sensitive information (such as health information or political opinions) through our website. Please do not include it in forms or messages.

How we collect it

  • Directly from you, when you fill in a form on our website, subscribe to our updates, email or call us, or take part in our sessions.
  • Automatically, through cookies and similar technologies when you browse our website.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. You can also opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Blocking cookies will not stop our website from working.

How we protect it

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access. These include using reputable providers with strong security controls, multi-factor authentication on our systems, and limiting access to the people who need it.

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or to meet legal requirements, and then delete or de-identify it.

No system is completely secure. If we become aware of a data breach that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will tell you and take steps to reduce the harm.
